We use Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in our orchards to minimize the application of chemicals.
Besides apples, we grow 15 varieties of peaches -- 500 trees that ripen from late July through mid-September. If you haven't had a peach (or a nectarine) grown in Massachusetts, you haven't tasted a peach! Our apricots are incredible too.
We grow 5 varieties of pears, including Beurre Bosc and Sheldon, as well as an acre
of European and Asian plums. The plums ripen mid-August through mid-September
and include Santa Rosa, Redheart, Elephant Heart, Blue Free, Black Amber and
Stanley.
We also have an acre and a half of blueberries, which ripen mid-July through August.
And let's not neglect the vegetables! We grow a
full line, from delicious sweet corn to mouthwatering tomatoes. And to
decorate your table or give to your sweetheart, we grow assorted
flowers, including Snapdragons, Asters, Zinnias,
and flowers for drying. We're experimenting with Lavender and Peonies.
