Fruits are what we are best known for at Nicewicz Family Farm

We are proud of the wide varieties of fruit that we grow and our dedication to quality.  Below is a sampling of the fruits that we grow, we also have apricots, nectarines, and occasionally cherries.

"Eating" Apple Varieties

All of our apples are considered "eating" varieties and most will work well for cooking as apple sauce and pies, but a few are generally not a firm enough meat to stand up to the temperatures of cooking.  Below is a listing of our apples with some general season information:

"Cooking" Apple Varieties

The more hardy the apple, the better it maintains its shape and texture when cooked / baked.  The following varieties are excellent candidates for cooking and a few have specific "best" uses:

Peaches
Pears

With over 500 trees, 15 varieties of peaches are grown at Nicewicz Family Farm that are in season from late July through the middle of September.

We grow 5 varieties of pears at the farm including Beurre Bosc and Sheldon.

Plums

We dedicated an acre to European and Asian plum trees.  These plums are in season from the middle of August through the middle of September in the following varieties:

Blueberries

We have an 1.5 acres of land where we grow our blueberries that are in season from the middle of July through August.
